Today is catch up day with “old” projects that I haven’t gotten around to yet. This photo was taken in March on my trip to Savannah, GA for St. Patrick’s Day 2012. Spartacus got to visit Historic River Street and I took this photo on one of the steepest steps there.

The newest in the series “Monkey Travels” which follows the life of my stuffed monkey, Spartacus. Today, Spartacus went on his first picnic. He got to play on the playground, eat a filling lunch, and enjoy the beautiful Georgia weather. I’m going to try to make this a weekly post, somewhat of a 365 project.

Mekenzie Zimmerman (Promotional Photos)
Check her out at :
http://www.mekenziezimmerman.com/
Mekenzie Zimmerman is a song-writer/singer from Woodstock, GA. Her EP “Introspective” takes you on her journey of ex boyfriends, an absent father, and all the trials a life can hand you throughout your teenage years. My personal favorite, “Taking Flight” has strong lyrics mixed with raw emotion.

A few highlighted photos from the Spalding Jags’ 2011 Baseball Season. A season filled with many suspenseful, late night, nail-biters and the hope of a State Championship. The Jags finished the season undefeated in the region to birth a playoff bid. Sweeping most of their opponents, they made it to Columbus, GA to face the returning state champs. Dominating the first game, it would seem as if Spalding was going to sweep the series and come back with the school’s first championship. However, the second game was a close call but Columbus came out to play. The next day, the two teams came to battle in the heat to see who would take the trophy home. After 7 innings, with home runs, iffy calls and everything left on the field, Spalding fell short of it’s championship run. However, the season will stay in people’s memories for years to come being known as the “Dream Team.” These photos were taken throughout the season including the first base coach, 2nd basemen, and one of the starting pitchers.

Taken in the beautiful town of Thomaston, GA, this set was taken for the yearly Christmas card photo. A lively bunch and full of laughter. Thomaston hosts a variety of great locations including a covered bridge and Sprewell’s Bluff.Kilgore Family, November 2009.

“Rooftop” is one of my favorite photos I have ever taken. I lost a bunch of photo cds (including this set) and have yet to find them during a move. I love these photos because they were taken back when I was in high school and using a film camera. I took this the summer before Junior Year (2005) and have it hanging in my room as a 11x15. Enjoy. -D.A.

A different style photo shoot, emphasizing on natural light, simple props, and straight forward posing. Shot in my home, using the two windows I have letting the light shine in. This whole shoot took maybe 1 hour before we got the shots we wanted. It was a good time and full of laughter.

A couple of photos from an impromptu photo shoot with my little sister earlier today. Quick make-up and hair fix, throwing on one of my shirts, and my mother holding the reflector (yes on Mother’s Day). Managed to get some great shots and the lighting was fantastic.

Aldon L (@aldonlamb). (November, 2011)
Aldon is a pretty cool kid around north of Atlanta. The theme for this shoot was rag-doll and trying to portray a classic and simple shot. This shot was taken before we added more makeup in, but ended up being my favorite from the shoot. We took them in my hometown at the train station.

Molly M. (June, 2007)
One of my best friends, and Senior Prom date, Molly is always a blast to be around. For this photo-shoot, we literally just grabbed the camera and hopped in the car. At the time, Downtown Griffin had several abandoned buildings being reconstructed. Crawling through a busted out window, we made our way through the building and onto the rooftop. This shot was taken in an entirely awkward perspective, but it worked out for me in the end.Tags

My first post in a long time, sorry for the delay. Been working on getting new equipment, business necessities, and bookings underway. More to come this week.
“Monkey Travels.” Taken in Piedmont Park, Atlanta, GA (Feb. 2012).
This is the first of a new series I’m going to be doing titled “Monkey Travels.” It’s going to showcase the adventures that Spartacus (yes, I named him Spartacus) will get himself into. I plan on doing at least 2 a month, or seeing how it goes. Upcoming travel includes Savannah, GA where he will be celebrating St. Patty’s Day with me.Info
